Our progressive laboratory department utilizes up to date equipment to provide clinical laboratory tests to hospital in-patients, long term care residents and out-patients. Results from laboratory tests are utilized by health care professionals to diagnose, monitor and treat diseases and/or health conditions.
We provide services in chemistry, haematology, blood bank & transfusion medicine. Some tests are analyzed on site while others are referred to off site laboratories.
We are a member of the Northshore District Laboratory Program (NDLP) along with Nipigon, Terrace Bay, Manitouwadge, Marathon and Wawa hospital laboratories.
Patient Information
- Out patient blood collection and ECG testing are performed on a walk-in basis. You do not book an appointment.
- You must bring your requisition & health card with you and register in the emergency department.
- Once registered, go to the laboratory, ring the bell and have a seat.
