RBC Staff Help Refurbish

Geraldton District Hospital

June 1, 2011
Bessie P. Newman Residence

The Bessie P. Newman Residence was constructed in 1963 and refurbished in 1990.  It is now time for new paint and furniture.  With help from staff at the Geraldton RBC Branch, along with Hospital staff, the lounge and vestibule were painted.  Also, the RBC Foundation donated $1,000 for the purchase of a new television in the lounge.

The Bessie P. Newman Residence is a busy place that provides accommodation for health care students, such as nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical students and medical residents.  Also, the residence houses new employees temporarily until they find permanent accommodation.

Thank you to all the painters and RBC.

The painting crew consisted of:

Dori Gignac, Trevor Nash, Jenna Burgensteden, Sheri MacInnis, Anne Safroniuk, Kurt Pristanski, Micheline Dumont, Joanne Roy

Kurt Pristanski receives the $1,000 cheque from Trevor Nash.
