Geraldton District Hospital PSW Staff committed to Excellence in Residents Centered Care

In March 2018, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care in collaboration with the Ontario Centers for Learning, Research and Innovation in LTC coordinated a Personal Support Worker education and training program through the delivery of the “Excellence in Resident Centered Care” program in partnership with Conestoga College. The Excellence in Resident Centered Care program has been developed to help long term care teams achieve better care and improve resident outcomes using a person-centered approach that emphasizes ministry standards and the latest evidence to support care through intensive training modules. The John Owen Evans Residence at the Geraldton District Hospital partook in the ERCC education initiative, with 75% of Personal Support Worker staff participation. The Geraldton District Hospital would like to recognize and congratulate the PSW staff for their hard work and dedication with emphasis on moving towards a Patient and Family Centered Model of Care.
