New Strategic Plan Launch Celebration

2018-2022

Geraldton District Hospital (GDH) is launching a new Strategic Plan that focuses on what matters most: keeping patients and families at the centre of quality, safe care.

Hospital CEO Lucy Bonanno said the plan was developed with patients and families at the very core. “While preparing the Strategic Plan, we defined our success through our patients’ eyes, and this supports us to meet and exceed patients’ expectations,” noted Bonanno. “Our entire plan is aligned to serve our community and the diversity it entails, that being Indigenous and Francophone residents of our region.”

A special event will launch the new commitment to Patient and Family Centred Care. “This hospital belongs to the community, and everyone is welcome to celebrate with us,” said Bonanno.

The Celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 30 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm in the hospital foyer. Guest speakers will include the Mayor of Greenstone, the Chairman of the Hospital’s Board of Directors, the Chief Nursing Executive, the Chief of Staff, the President of the Volunteer Hospital Auxiliary and the lead Patient Family Advisor for GDH. The ceremony will open with an Indigenous song and elder Blessing, and be followed by cake and coffee for all to enjoy.

It’s an opportunity for people to learn more about how we work with our partners and community for health care delivery at our hospital, and how it shaped our new Strategic Plan.

All Welcome to Attend
