Geraldton District Hospital
2018-2022 Strategic Planning
Focus Group Meetings
A Strategic Plan is a road map for the future. It describes where the Hospital wants to be and how it will get there. The last Strategic Plan was developed in 2014 for a 4-year period.
The 2014-2018 Strategic Plan concentrated on the following three directions:
- Collaborate with partners to ensure seamless services provided to patients
- Deliver programs and services to meet the needs of the community
- Ensure care and services are provided in a culturally competent manner
All of the above noted priorities impact patient care in a positive manner. Over the next month, focus group meetings will be held with Hospital Staff, Medical Staff, Francophone community, First Nations communities, community health care partners and the community at large to obtain input needed to develop the 2018 - 2022 Strategic Plan.
Jean-Pierre Eskander, a health care consultant, will be facilitating the focus group meetings.
